Which lens should I choose?
The lens type (single vision or progressive) corrects your eyesight. Coatings (blue-light, photochromic) do not correct anything: they add comfort and can be combined with either type.
| Lens or coating | What it does | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Single vision lens | Corrects short sight, long sight or astigmatism at one distance | Children and adults who need a single correction |
| Progressive lens | Corrects near, intermediate and distance vision in the same lens | People with presbyopia, usually after 45 |
| Blue-light coating | Filters part of the blue light from screens | Long hours on a phone or computer |
| Photochromic coating | The lens darkens in the sun and clears indoors | People who often move between indoors and outdoors |

Ange, from Medong: glasses in under 24 hours
In February 2026, Ange, who lives in Medong, came in for an eye exam. The exam showed short sight and astigmatism in both eyes, and prescription lenses were prescribed. Her glasses were handed to her in under 24 hours. Very satisfied, she sent us a video to say thank you.
